Life with Death Audio Review

I have gotten a handful of emails from people who are having trouble hearing the audio file.  Below is from an email with one woman.  I hope this will help others.  Technology can be tricky.  The audio file itself is perfectlyclear, so consider the possibilites below.  It’s the learning curve of audio technology online.

Yes, it depends on the computer and program being used for listening.  The program your computer opens the file in depends on what program you have set as your default for that type of file.  iTunes may not be the best for playing this file. On Windows Media Player and on Epress Scribe it comes through loud and clear.  Also, do you have speakers or just an internal speaker?  I hear it beautifully just on internal speakers, but that’s not true of all recordings I download.  Different recordings play differently on different computers and with different programs.  Plugging in with earphones often helps.  Worth a try.  And external speakers can also make a difference.  And the program you play through, that you are using to open the file.  You can hand select a different program on your computer, or download another.  There are many, and most are free.  I have had good experiences with Real Player as well as Windows Media Player.  Another possibility is the age of a person’s computer and their download speed.  It’s possible that if the download speed is too slow, the data is corrupted in the transfer and thus will not play well on that computer.

So many possibilities.  Thanks for letting me know.  The recording itself is perfect.  I have listened to the original, listened to it on my computer, and listened through someone else’s computer…someone who had never accessed my site, so I know it plays beautifully from the site too.
