Our Friends  July 21, 2024

Dear Ones,

It feels like time to begin again, to bring to you what comfort we may and what insight is possible.

We would say first…to love yourselves, to love one another. Whenever you think about anyone, anywhere in the world, imagine before you a person of that place, that tribe, that group. It can be an imagined person — it does not matter. Imagine them before you as someone who is the dearest of friends, whom you love…and just love them. Just send them love. Not your personal love, but the love that is in you, not only as one human being to another, but as one creation of this earth, one cell of the body and soul and Being of this earth.

Just as cells blink in and out of life and expression, so to do all things of this earth. Your lives are but the life of a cell of this earth, each cell needed and important. As you know, as your science is beginning to discover, cells that turn against the other cells of the body create illness. And so, it is very important that even though the liver cell does not seem to be connected to the big toe cell, in fact they are part of one body, and it is essential that they love one another, that they feel one another, that they can commune with one another, even though they do not reside in the same part of the body within which they live.

It is the same for you, with any other being on this planet, not only another human being, but any animal creature, any part of your oceans, or under your earth, or your forests, or your sky. It is essential that you be at peace, that you act with good will, that you give a love that is beyond your personal love, but has to do with how you would love someone who has been your enemy in life but who you find dying of a terrible cancer, alone. Suddenly you feel rise within you a compassion, an empathy, and a love for this person who has been in your life, part of your life, even as an antagonist. You sit with them and you love them in a way you did not know possible.

It is like this with every other cell of the body of this earth, of which you are all a part, none better, none worse, none more important, none less important. And by that we mean even the creatures of the earth, the ants and the slugs, and the beings in your waters, and every thing of this earth.

Remember too that you live in millennial tides; you are living in time, which is finite and exists within eternity, and so you live within great tides, like the ocean, that ebb and flow — tides that you ride and are sometimes tossed by. Do your best not to fear the tides. Do your best to ride them.

The most important thing is to be kind. Kindness is a day-to-day, moment-to-moment act of love. If there is one thing in your world that is an underpinning of Creation, of God, of Spirit, of Mystery, it is Love. With that Love is Creativity and Curiosity, because love is infinitely creative. Were it not, this earth, this universe, these multiverses would not exist. They are an act of creativity and curiosity. They exist as expressions of the question what are the many forms, and possibilities, and opportunities of Love, of that spark of life that comes from what you would call love, as a quality and a condition of loving.

Love can never really be just love. It is loving; it is active; it is a verb, or it does not exist, it is nothing. The loving that is of the greatness of Creation is beyond your imagining, but is not beyond your feeling, your sensing, even if only for moments here and there. And when you do feel it and sense it, that is an act of Grace, a moment of Grace that you hold, not tightly, but you drop into, expand into, experience. If it’s only for three seconds, it still transforms. Time is not what is critical. It is the experience that is essential.

So try to stay out of your fearful minds. Try to stay in your heart that is one with this earth, with this creation, not only of earth but of universes, and know that yours is the life of a mosquito; you are a cell. This is not to say that you are not important. You are! Just as every cell that lives in your body is essential to the working and health of your body, so too are you essential to this earth in this moment, now. Be at peace. Reside in loving. Know that you are going to experience the whole rainbow of emotions and that none are wrong. It is the dropping back into Creation and Wholeness that is right. And remember, never judge another; never point fingers, never use the word “should,” because you do not know another’s experience.

We love you, beloveds. All is well.

Part 3

This post begins with the last line of Part 2 and continues from there…

Love is a living, moving Truth beyond any human ability to fully explain, understand or grasp in words. And so we use “creativity” and “Creation” to speak of God, because we feel it more accurately reflects, with language, a truer understanding, a truer connection; it allows you a more open conduit to experience what is true.

No human being is capable of fully receiving all of that quality of love so far beyond this creation without sort of burning up — in a kind of ecstasy, yes — yet burning up because it is so far beyond any conception, any words; it would wipe all that out.  It would be like wiping a hard drive, because in a sense, in order to be human, in order to form these bodies and share this physical experience, this time and space creation, a sort of “hardware” and “software” had to be created and downloaded.  Were you to meet that “Behind All Things” face to face, it would wipe the hard drive and erase the software, because It created the hardware and the software in order to experience this creation.  It, the Creator, is so much vaster, deeper, more.  You cannot download all the data off a huge computer onto a small one without blowing out the small one.

The reality is that something new is being created through this Creation.  God is expressing God, always with love.  And so, you are not mistaken in relying on God to be loving.  You are never, ever mistaken in that, because that is what that One behind all things, within all things, expressing as all things, Is.  You can always access that.  You can always pray to that.  You can always trust It.

Part 2

So when someone says “God is love or God is not love or God is something else,” the very word “God”  or “Goddess” or “Spirit” is encumbered by not knowing — and by the profound need for connection — that there is a great deal of projection, like the child who has never been loved or nurtured grasps for that needed unknown and imagined parent.

What you call God, we prefer to call Creation (we include in this all that is beyond physical form, beyond time and space.)  We use this word because it differentiates from personality, from the idea that there is a human face of God; the human face of God is in the face of every single human being who has ever been born.  Where you find the worm face of God is in every worm that ever lived.  And where you find the star-light face of God is in every star that has ever been born or burned out.  Everything is the face of God.  And every non-thing is the face of God.

And so, we use “Creation,” because as we have said, in using words (which are so unclear) the ultimate quality of what you think of as God is that of being creative.  In order to be creative you have to love, because there is nothing, there is no creative impulse, without a much deeper impulse that you would call love.

We don’t use the word God, because it is such a projection-filled word for human beings.  It carries so much pain, disappointment, so much illusion, so much imagining, so much need.  Instead we say that what you call God is the infinitely, ultimately creative, because this is true of God in action.  Creativity is love in action, and love is an action; it is not a feeling; it is a movement; it is a life-force; it is an expression.

Is God Only Love?

Part I

When someone says that God (or Goddess or Spirit — whatever word is chosen) is not only love, that God is other things as well: anger, justice, etc. he is misunderstanding what love is in its pure form.  And this is not his fault.  It is the result of language and culture, using a human word that is applied in many contexts to name many different expressions, everything from kindness and affection or strong like, to passionate human sexual love, to joy and connection between a human and an animal, to the deepest and most profound communion of souls between any two Beings, with the Universe, or with all Creation.

Thus, all of the filters that go into the word “love” are projected onto the imagined God.  Throughout all your world, God is always only imagined.  While you touch It/God, your human mind cannot encompass It.  It’s not that you do not experience God in that touch; it’s that your human mind cannot fully grasp or retain that experience.  You retain it in your soul; you retain it as a beacon; you retain it as a felt-sense memory.  But it is so very far beyond words that stories, poetry, art, music, dance are all you have to try to describe it: images, metaphor, motion these things make you feel the “Yes!”  The “Yes!” is Love in its one true form.

“Our Friends” Describe Themselves and Their Service

Image

The soul longs to be seen
The heart longs to be loved
The mind longs to be heard
The body longs to be felt

All is a longing for Divine touch
All we bring is Divine touch

The seeing of the soul
The loving of the heart
The hearing of the mind…the thoughts, the feelings
The felt sense and presence with the body

Each a consciousness in its own right
Interwoven into a whole
In dialogue and communion with itself
And with the One who created All

We come with a reminder of the All
Of the Divine loving touch
That is the spark at your core
And the longing and dream of your lifetimes

Our Friends Response to Catastrophic Predictions:  June 2010

Fear wants a reason to exist; it creates a story to justify its own existence

To assume a fearful outcome is to assume an unkind and unloving intent on the part of the earth and Creation.

Fear wants a reason to exist; it creates a story to justify its own existence.  The more fear presented, the bigger the story needs to be in order to justify and feed that fear.  Images of doom and destruction arise out of fear: individual and collective fear that imagination is feeding upon, creating a story that seems very real.  We do not predict catastrophe, worm holes, global electromagnetic madness for many reasons.  Doing so would do no positive good in the world, and that is the whole point of Being.  Also, to predict anything is not in alignment with Creation’s process.  It’s like salmon swimming upstream; try to predict and follow the course of one salmon, and you are going to lose sight of it in no time, because there are thousands of them.  You simply can’t do it.  The energies are so many and moving so fast, in so many directions; so much is happening.

To predict is to try to control; it is the antithesis of how Creation works.  To assume a fearful outcome is to assume an unkind and unloving intent on the part of the earth and Creation.  This has more to do with a human feeling of helplessness.

Fear separates you from the very solution you seek.   It leads you to struggle for a level of control that you do not have, and it does so by looking outside your own essence and presence, which is the only “place” where you truly exist at all.  It is only here that you hold your awareness with Creation, with the loving, infinitely creative essence that lies at the core of all creation.  Such is the Being of the Creator; such is the Being of you.  In surrender and honoring, listening and heeding, in movement out of that, you have control, never through blaming, fear, or anger.  Creation, even your known Universe, does not operate like this; fear, anger, blame, these are nullifying energies, never creating energies.

Those who are waiting for, and believe they desire, a big event, a dramatic shift toward something “else,” something new that they imagine to be more wonderful than what you have now, are missing the fact that you live in a true Eden now. Those who imagine that all the others will disappear, leaving the “good people” to a better world, are very confused about the Creation, about the art form of Creation that is this world, about who you are as humanity.

Imagining and waiting for a great “shift” is really a savior concept that has to do with presumed “goodness” vs. presumed “wrongness.”  This concept of reward and punishment is a strong thread, tangled deep in human consciousness across most of the earth.  It emerges over and over again in different guises, new story lines.

And also, every story is, in a sense, true.  Those who are very devout Christians and believe they will meet their Savior when they die, will.  That is a true story to them.  People need to be very careful about the story they are attaching themselves to, because it is going to be true for them.  Do you not want the story that says “I don’t know, but I believe in the beauty behind Creation, because that’s what I see at the heart of all of it?”  Wish to experience, and hold to, the place of “Show me!” rather than the place of “I know.”  The “I know” comes from fear. What you believe you know, you will find, because Creation will not scare you as you scare yourself.  Creation is infinitely patient in its unfolding love.  If you adhere to your story, we guarantee it will be a limit, a garden wall that prevents you from seeing everything that’s in Creation.  It may be comforting, but it is confining, that garden wall of certainty.

You are confused in believing yourselves to be individuals, separate from one another as well as Creation, in independent bodies.  There is nothing independent in all Creation; all is within the One; all is interflowing.  There is nothing independent about your bodies; this is why you fear death.  You are creatures of this earth; these bodies were created to live here, in Eden, in an absolute beauty and perfection.  This creation was designed to be as utterly interconnected and interdependent as the whole of Creation.  It is a beautiful and loving truth of Creation.   It is wonderful.

As long as you are trying to escape death or escape the body, you are operating from fear.  You are running away from something, rather than moving toward something.  When you are operating from fear, you cannot be connected to Creation.  So many people feel their bodies are a trap they need to escape.  That is a very sad thing.  In truth, you are already the real Essence of you, and this can never change.    Your body is an added bonus, a temporary gift to enjoy, as is this Earth.  Move toward this gift.

If you are worried about disaster, then it is up to you to decide how prepared you are willing to become for any sort of natural disaster.  Understand that the physical universe has its own laws; its life unfolds without malicious intent.  Everything on the web of physical being is affected, including you.  You are always loved and cared for.  Remember that who you are is so far beyond this body.  Creation cares about you.  Your body is a temporary experience; it is the jeweled container of a priceless gift.

The evolution of Creation is rather like a painting or a piece of art.  You don’t just go “splat” and it’s done.  It’s a process; it evolves; it emerges.  There is always that impulse to move further and push farther, to grow.  Growth, from the deepest essence within each Being, each spark of Creation, is the desire and action of love at the heart of all things; it is Creation creating itself always.

Those who hopefully await a sudden shift are scared, trapped in a new version of an old story.  It is a child’s wish to have all that is difficult removed so the child can be at peace.  You are not children.  You are sovereign beings.

Regardless how many stories you create of salvation from afar, peace is never going to happen by the action of some power greater than yourselves, because this would deny who you are as sovereign Beings of Creation.  As sunbeams of the sun, you are creators of the Creation along with all of Creation.  You must be the incarnation; it cannot be done to or for you.  And you all will do it.  You are not G-d, but you are that spark of the Divine come to emerge into this world fully.  That is your task in any given life; to wait for the miracle is to disavow the reason you’re here.

Not knowing how to be more fully embodied, not knowing how to incarnate, the feeling of vulnerability is enormous.  Incarnation requires choice moment to moment; it requires work.  It asks each human to do his or her own work, the nitty gritty work of inner cleansing through focus and choice.  It asks you to look at your thoughts, your emotions, feelings in your body, all that needs to be cleared.   Peace resides within you and between you at any moment; it is for you to achieve.  This is being and becoming the core of your Being and embodiment.

It is very easy to get off into a side track of some kind of fear.  It is an issue and a question for every human being.

There is a balance, a place of awareness.  We are asking that you keep your focus on a place human beings have not been much accustomed to focusing on: recognition of the beauty and the love that is at the core of life.  When you look at a sunset or a tree, or love another human being…everything that is truly core is coming from love and beauty.  Recognize that this must be what Creation and the creative impulse is at the heart of everything.  Everything else is some kind of picture and process within that creation.  Trust the beauty and love impulse that is core.  Hold the thread of your awareness and choosing on that, rather than getting attached to any of the images that out-picture, or seem to out-picture, in the world.  In so doing, you become the peace you seek.  As you are, so you give.  Be peace to bring peace.
