Is God Only Love? Pt. 2

Part 2

So when someone says “God is love or God is not love or God is something else,” the very word “God”  or “Goddess” or “Spirit” is encumbered by not knowing — and by the profound need for connection — that there is a great deal of projection, like the child who has never been loved or nurtured grasps for that needed unknown and imagined parent.

What you call God, we prefer to call Creation (we include in this all that is beyond physical form, beyond time and space.)  We use this word because it differentiates from personality, from the idea that there is a human face of God; the human face of God is in the face of every single human being who has ever been born.  Where you find the worm face of God is in every worm that ever lived.  And where you find the star-light face of God is in every star that has ever been born or burned out.  Everything is the face of God.  And every non-thing is the face of God.

And so, we use “Creation,” because as we have said, in using words (which are so unclear) the ultimate quality of what you think of as God is that of being creative.  In order to be creative you have to love, because there is nothing, there is no creative impulse, without a much deeper impulse that you would call love.

We don’t use the word God, because it is such a projection-filled word for human beings.  It carries so much pain, disappointment, so much illusion, so much imagining, so much need.  Instead we say that what you call God is the infinitely, ultimately creative, because this is true of God in action.  Creativity is love in action, and love is an action; it is not a feeling; it is a movement; it is a life-force; it is an expression.

Love is a living, moving Truth beyond any human ability to fully explain, understand or grasp in words. And so we use “creativity” and “Creation” to speak of God, because we feel it more accurately reflects, with language, a truer understanding, a truer connection; it allows you a more open conduit to experience what is true.

“Tides” Our Friends Circle Call November 10, 2013

Our Friends Circle Talk
November 10, 2013

We will talk about how the energies work within each of you, about tides coming in and going back out within lives that shift and change.

Right now there is a lot of shifting happening in your world. The energetic shifts of your seasons are becoming more profound, more deeply felt inside each of you. Transformations feel more potent and challenges feel more intense. Gifts feel more poignant. It is fine tuning of the energies. Within your world there is a dissonance between the way your society and culture is still going about things, which is clunky — like a bull in a china shop — and the way in which the energies are shifting, working and weaving in your world, growing finer and finer.

There are times when you feel as though you are sitting in an audience where the violin section is playing a divine, blissful symphony, yet somehow the wind section seems to be trying to play by a completely different, chaotic rhythm, while the drum section is off somewhere else altogether. One part of your mind is trying to follow the sublime melody of the violin section, your other side feels wracked by the dissonance and cacophony coming from other parts of the orchestra. You feel this in your body, because your body responds to that very fine quality of energy and to the dissonant energy.

This is a place for breathing. It is a place for being willing to be present. This is a reverse kind of shifting, as the energies create very fine, beautiful melodies of what you would call a high vibration alongside the intensity of what you feel as a disruptive, clunky, unpleasant vibration. The fine vibration goes within and sifts upwards anything in you that is part of the cacophony, that is part of the dissonance. This would be anything that has been put away for a long time. It can be anger or grief. It can even be capped joy, capped loveliness, capped love and laughter. Any way you have been hiding something from yourself. The fine vibration with raise it up, and the intense cacophony will prevent you from covering it over again. So, in a sense, these vibrations are harmonious. Although it does not feel harmonious, these vibrations are acting in harmony to help you come clearer.

The only way to grow clearer is to stand in that experience, which can be at times exquisitely uncomfortable, breathe with it, allow to rise up what is there. Be a compassionate witness to yourself; speak to yourself with love. Speak to whatever is happening in your mind, your body, your emotions, your reactions, what you feel rising up that you might rather not be there. Speak with kindness, compassion and sweetness. Hold it all with loving kindness, even when you are tired and you would rather kick it away from you. Be present and breathe with whatever is. Know that whatever rises up will indeed pass away. It will pass away more fully and more quickly if you are able to not lock down against it, as you are able to breathe through it, as you are able to hold compassionate, loving presence with yourself.

When you are not holding a compassionate response to yourself, a loving response to yourself, you are automatically contracting and constricting. Constriction creates binding, binding creates further dissonance, and dissonance creates all kinds of pain. Breathe and be present.

There is pain that comes up that you can only breathe through, sometimes again and again; receive it as a teacher, listen with loving attention to yourself, to this pain. Let it soften and temper you. It is at your service, though it may not feel so to you in the moment. If you can be loving with yourself, you will begin to be able to inquire of and under the pain to a place where healing and release happen. You have to stay present and breathing to do this.

When you find it hard to bring yourself back to a place of breathing presence, know that resistance happens; there are times when it is very difficult, particularly in physical pain. It can also be very difficult in emotional pain or thought-form pain. All of these are times to wrap yourself in your own love, in your own angelic presence, give yourself profound love and kindness, call yourself whatever words of endearment are meaningful to you, that you can hear from you, that cause you to feel your shoulders relax, to feel that you have a bit more breathing room.

It is all an experience. Remember always that your experience is, in one sense, uniquely your own, so very personal to you. At the same time, your experience is always a human experience. Allow yourself to breathe into the truth that what you experience you share with all human beings. They may not all experience exactly what or as you do, but all human beings share experiences of both joy and pain, of love and fear. You are not personally singled out for either joy or suffering. You are not personally wrong to feel whatever it is you feel or to have whatever experience you are having. You are in the experience of being human, and you share that not only with all other human beings on the planet now, but with all who have ever been. In that there can always be a sense of connection and a sense of support. Remember, in this shared experience there is no blame or shame.

Q & A with Stephanie about Our Friends (from a phone conversation)

How do Our Friends answer medical questions?

It varies from person to person.

It’s interesting to me, because when we started in 1989, I was incredibly uncomfortable with the idea of people asking any medical questions. We agreed they would always tell people “talk to your Doctor.” I didn’t want responsibility. I didn’t want people to listen to them and then not talk to their doctor. But what’s interesting to me, what’s impressed me over the years and has given me much more confidence in what they tell people, is they have a very clear delineation in the information they share. Sometimes they’ll say “Here’s what we see. If you’re still concerned, go to your Doctor and ask for the test.” Sometimes they’ll add “But we don’t see anything. It doesn’t look to us like there’s anything there. But if you’re concerned, go have it checked out, because the anxiety alone is not good for you.” At other times, they’ll say to people “Well, we’re not sure, but we see this. We don’t think it’s anything serious, but you might want to go have it checked.” And then there are other times when they say “You need to go to your Doctor and ask for this test and you need to do it now.” In every single one of these cases, there has been something seriously wrong and Our Friends nailed it.

One man came for a session with a primary medical question. I remember the image as Our Friends “read” his body. They looked at him and it was like they were using x-ray vision. They said to him “The woman doesn’t have medical knowledge,” which is true, I don’t, “so the best way we can describe what we’re seeing based on what is in her mind is to use the word ‘osteoporosis.’ Your bones look like Swiss cheese.” Our Friends said “You need to go to your Doctor and you need to ask for an X-ray right now.” He didn’t do it, because he thought “I’m 51 years old and I’m a man, and I couldn’t have osteoporosis.” Well, he had multiple myeloma. It was eating his bones. It leaches calcium out of the bones and so it causes osteoporosis.

With another person, whose sister was ill, the Doctors knew she had cancer, but they couldn’t figure out what kind. She talked to Our Friends and they said “The problem is that she has two or three different kinds of cancer, and they are interweaving. The doctors may never know precisely what’s what.” About a week and a half later this woman called me and said “Oh my God, we just got these reports from the Doctor and they’re saying that my sister has probably two or three different kinds of cancer and they don’t know if they’ll ever know.” It was exactly what Our Friends had told her.

So the evolution in Our Friends medical readings has been in you rather than them? How do they choose whether to focus on the physical or the emotional aspects of illness?

It’s been my ability to just let them say what they say, and over time they say things and they turn out to be right. I have learned to trust them.

Sometimes, with some people, they do focus more on the emotional aspect of illness. It varies for the person, depending on what they’re dealing with. I have a handful of clients who have been dealing with long illnesses over several years. Our Friends have helped them make some choices around their medical care, but also tried to work with them around the emotional aspects of it. Whether that’s emotional aspects that relate to the illness itself or in the case of a couple of people who were reaching the end of their life with their illness, trying to help them to deal with the emotional aspects of when and how do you let go, how do you make peace with that, how do you not judge and blame yourself. There’s just so much. They work with people in a lot of different ways and levels. It depends on the person and the situation, what’s happening, and what they read in the person’s energy and emotions.

How do they do it? Never having had a body, how do they know what’s going on with us and give such good guidance?

I have no idea how they do it either.

There have definitely been times when I’ve gotten mad at them, times when they were working with me on something and I’ve said “Well, you get down here and get a body, and then you talk to me about this!” Yet still, even at these times, their guidance was exactly what I needed. I was not ready to fully integrate it without resistance.

On the other hand, they have given me some absolutely incredible experiences of my body. They’ve come in, then brought me in with them, sharing the body-mind fully, and given me the ability to see, really, really see, not just an Auric field around plants and things, but to see that the physical body is actually an energy body…actually see that.

Sitting with a man I was in love with and doing a session for him. We had a very strong physical connection. We were in the yard, sitting in the sun and fresh breezes. When Our Friends came in, my body surprised them this time. They don’t have any of my history, my personal history, so when they came in and felt this aspect of physicality so fully, their reaction was something like “Whoa!!!” I was very aware of them suddenly really getting it “Oh! This is what being a woman is! And that’s what being a man is!” The incredible charge going back and forth between my body and his was for them a new experience. “Whoa! This is what this is like!” And the part of me that was aware was also amazed, “Oh my God! I haven’t even felt it like that!” And the thing was, my partner got it. When I came back, he said “Oh my God! I was almost feeling like I was cheating on you. The charge was so incredible! I was feeling like I wanted to ask her out!” So it is an amazing, amazing thing. I never know what I’m going to experience and learn.

How do Our Friends choose to begin a session? Is it always the same?

How a session begins depends on the person and the question. I never know. Sometimes they come in and just start talking. They can do that with someone they’ve never talked to before. I know they’re always aware when someone makes a session; I feel like usually they’ve arranged it. I feel like they are saying “This one, that one.” I’ve always said to them “You bring the people. You know who would be best for you to work with. I don’t choose. You choose.” Yet when I make an appointment time with someone, I always have the thought in my head of “OK Our Friends, please be sure you connect with this person.”

I’ve always, from the beginning, had people say to me, either, “I never opened my mouth beyond hello. They just started talking and when they finished, they’d answered most of my questions.” Or, “I asked my first question and 25 minutes later, when they stopped talking, they’d answered all the questions I had.” Other times, they come in and feel the person, feel the energy, but they either need for the person to get more comfortable so they ask them to talk a little, or they’re not sure what is the best way to talk about something. They need to discern what the person is conscious of, not conscious of, and so they’ll ask a person to ask questions, because it’s revealing the way a person asks a question and how they say what they say. Generally, their energy opens in that process, and it seems to help Our Friends recognize “Oh, OK, we need to go through this door rather than that door.”

It seems like you would learn a lot by being a channel?

It’s funny because I don’t remember the personal information of each person and what is shared for them. I choose not to remember for two reasons: I don’t want to carry around that much knowledge of other people’s inner workings (I don’t think it’s any of my business,) and it allows you to know that you are having a confidential session with Our Friends. I believe this allows people to be more open in their energy with Our Friends, and I know the more open a person’s energy, the more fully and deeply Our Friends can help, the more thorough the information they can give. You can only receive what you are open to, so how open you are makes a big difference. Our Friends honor, always, the sovereignty of each of us; this is energetic more than intellectual. People can believe themselves open to information, but if that is only an intellectual openness, not backed up by an energetic and emotional openness, Our Friends will not violate the big “No!” from the energetic/emotional self. There are times when people are not even aware of this “No” and will argue if Our Friends address it with them. How little we know ourselves at times.

Unless someone has had a lot of sessions with me, or if they go a long time between sessions – like a year or two or three – they’ll call me and I’ll think “Have I done a session for this person?” They’ll say “Oh, yes, we’ve done two or three.” For me it’s like “Oh, ok!”

I don’t remember that, but I do remember what I learn for myself. I remember the feeling of the energy. I remember if Our Friends travel to go find a loved one, living or dead, when asked. Images, felt senses, how Our Friends work with people, this I remember. It’s very interesting. Pretty cool. I wish I understood. I always say to people “If you ever meet someone who says they’re a channel and they claim to understand how they’re doing what they’re doing, don’t trust them. “ If they say they know how it works and what’s happening, no. They’re a fake. We don’t know. I know certain things. I’ve learned that who I am matters. I’ve learned that the quality of my heart matters, that how I honor Our Friends matters. I’ve learned that when I come to choices in my life, even some of the really hard choices, my core question has to be “What keeps me in alignment with Our Friends? What keeps me open to their energy and deepens our communion?“ That’s always my choice. It’s really very clear to me; I can always feel it. I don’t always understand it, but I can always feel it very clearly. I know all this matters, but the actual “How” of how it happens or where they come from or what they are, Whoa! You got me! It’s a mystery.

Who are Our Friends?

Some people have asked “Are you Stephanie’s Higher Self?” And Our Friends have said “No, not in any way you would understand that.” But they have said that the essential vibration of my Essence is of the same quality as theirs. They’ve talked about how there are different vibrations of different souls, and that the vibration of my soul is of a like vibration to theirs. And that’s why it’s easy for them to come through me.

One or two people have asked “Could you come through someone else?” Our Friends answer has been “We could, but you wouldn’t recognize us as the same energy, because the vehicle we come through is resonant with how you experience our energy.” And that would be me. They said “You might not recognize us.”

I’m happy to explain it a bit. It’s hard to know where to start in sharing my history with Our Friends, my experiences with them, all I have learned from them.

I have been working with Stephanie and Our Friends for about 15 years now.  They have greatly helped me to discover mySelf, explore my multi-dimensionality and understand things about mySelf and my experiences that are very difficult to understand from only a human perspective.

I highly recommend Stephanie’s work to anyone who is committed to living and fully expressing as their full, expanded, multi-dimensional Self. Our Friends’ influence was integral to my having the courage to trust my guidance and support from the unseen world with such marvelous results on my recent trip to South America.

Bodysoul nourishment...

Bodysoul nourishment…

This share, from our June 30th call,  follows closely the theme of our June 16th call.  If you have not read that post, you might want to scroll down and read it along with this one. Many Blessings to you, Stephanie

This Sunday, July 14th at 4:00p.m PST will be our next Circle with Our Friends. See below…

 Aligning the Body to Wellness

Bodily nourishment and pleasure:  What deeply nourishes, and therefore brings happiness to, the body and the bodysoul has a great deal to do with wellness.

Your bodies deal with a great deal of complexity in your world and your time.  They are generally made to be a specific manifestation of your Essence as it is coming into this particular place and time to express.  Your Essence is like a prism.  When you come into a lifetime, you are choosing to refract the Light of your Essence through a particular facet of that prism.  Your body is built and designed to help you manifest that particular rainbow of Light in a given lifetime.  It is much more than a partnership.  It’s not so much the joining of two, body and soul, or body and Essence, but they are one in a sense.  Your body is exuded from your Essence and the Oneness of Creation.  It is a very specific, beautiful manifestation.

And when you come into this life, you come through the process of being gestated in your mother’s womb.  In that process you begin to be introduced to, and your body begins to be introduced to, the impact of thoughts and feelings.  You are also impacted by the specific DNA – not just the genetic inheritance, but the energetic and emotional inheritance, because what is not yet fully recognized is that there is an emotional and energetic imprint to your DNA as well as to physical body.  These things come in; they are bit like information to the soul, to the embodiment in a given lifetime when you are in the womb and gestating.  And then of course you emerge, and you are then affected by and imprinted by the many the experiences and emotions of childhood and growing up.  All of this becomes part of what is being worked with in you, as you, in this life.

And then your body is also very much “ashes to ashes, dust to dust.”  It is very much of the Earth.  You are made of dirt and stardust.  What impacts the earth is going to impact your bodies.  One of the things to remember at this time, on this planet, is that human bodies are as impacted by the toxins to the earth — the things that have occurred through human choice and through those you would consider nature’s occurrences.  Each body is unique and is going to be affected and impacted differently.

It is the “I” part of you that thinks of yourself as an “I.” The “I’ who thinks “This is my body” is not much in control.  The bodysoul is an ongoing occurrence and emergence; it is interweaving and inter-breathing with all we have described.  It is sort of its own kind of organism.  The everyday “I” can commune with the bodysoul, can be present with it, can sort of engage and interweave with it, but the “I” does not have the control the “I” would like to have.

And so we say that in terms of wellness, there are the things you know about eating foods that are healthy, there is working your body and breathing and these things.  Yet, the bodysoul needs more than anything the nourishment of resting back; what we would describe as a backflip into your body and into your Being that comes about through deep meditation, through rooting and grounding.

Oftentimes when people think about rooting and grounding, they are thinking about it.  When we speak of it, we call it a back flip into the body, because it is like when you do a backflip into the water.  You go into the water and the water completely surrounds you.  It is similar with really rooting and grounding.  It does not come from the mind; it comes from a deep backflip to experience the body from the inside, as an underwater swimmer experiences the water, and in that having a sense of connection and communion to the body, the cells, the bones, the blood, the earth, and the Spirit that enlivens them all, very deeply.

Wellness comes through deep rooting, through the nourishment of soul that comes through breathing deeply and fully, and the moving of energy, the moving of emotion.  In much of your world today, there is not a natural movement of emotion.  By that, we don’t mean venting or expressing every emotion to another person.  We mean the ability to be fully present — in that backflip way — to the feelings, the felt sense of what is arising within the body, whether or not it makes sense to the mind, whether or not it is comfortable, whether or not it is even recognized for exactly what it is.  The ability to keep the breath open from the very top of the head to the very deepest places in the belly, to feel the block or holding or contraction when it catches in certain places, to be able to be loving with that, be compassionate and accepting with it, and to continue to relax around it, to inquire of it, to breathe and work with it until it releases.  Sometimes that means sitting in meditation, sometimes in deep breathing; sometimes it means working the body hard physically to move energy and move emotion, or even to scream or to yell into a pillow.  Sometimes it means to go to the art studio, the art place, where the energy can move through the experience of creative expression and be released, sometimes without a lot of conscious awareness at all, because the very act of being in the creative process moves so much energy that a great deal goes with it, and so it is cleansing on its own.

All of these things are very much about wellness and the body.  In your culture and your world, there is so much holding; there is much contraction, much attempting to put the soul aside. Your culture tends to want to bring things to stillness, to contraction, to control.  This creates a rigidity that can create tightness in the body, which leads to various kinds of suffering.   It is a great learning how to bring your soul, your Essence’s expression in this lifetime, into your everyday life and each everyday moment.  It is very challenging and difficult.  Your culture and the ways your world works do not make it easier, and yet it is very possible to grow in this.  This level of ensoulment and presence brings wellness to your body. Real wellness comes more than anything when the soul is fully present, attended to, activated, and honored. Then all embodied energies are ever in motion, ever breathing as in Creation, where everything is always in movement like the waves upon the shore.

This Sunday, July 14th at 4:00p.m PST will be our next Circle with Our Friends.  Normally, these calls will take place every second and fourth Sunday at the same time.  However, we will be skipping Sunday, July 28th due to a scheduling conflict.

Please share this post with friends…

Hello Friends,
This season is replete with the energies of transformation. Potentials are very alive for us now.  May we each take this time to drop the seeds that need to nestle in our inner earth, to ripen and mature for their spring emergence in our hearts and lives.  May we give this gift to ourselves and to life.  May we bring ourselves to these moments, the opportunities and gateways open in front of us.  May we feel our shared community with one another with the entire Earth.   And may all the work we do bring forth blessing for this beautiful world we share.
With love, gratitude and blessing for you in my heart,
Stephanie

Pathway of Transformation

First bring yourself, with whatever tension you have, to this very moment.  Breathe it, feel it, accept it, have loving kindness and compassion for yourself in your nervousness, in your tension, in your holding.  Simply love yourself and breathe: naturally, fully, and deeply.  Feel what is there, ask if it can let go a little.  Let yourself be with you in integrity, in honesty, in love, in kindness and gentle accepting presence.  Hold yourself.  This is the path of learning, Being and doing.  It is for you to hold.

Next, leave off the small things, the petty things, leave off your past, leave off your friends, go to the core and stay only with the core that is you with you.

These are the important things: releasing the past, the familial linkages, the lineages, the bindings, the agreements.  You let go.

You can only do this work for yourself.  You cannot do it for others.  Only they can find this place of release for themselves.  They are much more likely to seek it and find it when they see, feel, and experience it in you.  So, your letting go is wholly healing.

Now, open your gates.  Open your inner sanctum of self.  You are asking to step forward into the fullness of your own soul embodied.  You are asking to be en-souled, in voice, in thought, in feeling, in body.  You are asking, in this life, to be fully present in your highest essence, in this body, in each moment.  You are asking to walk in this life fully awakened, aware, in each step finding and creating the true path of your unique essence.  You both offer yourself and invite your Self.

Prepared now, you call upon G-d, G-oddess, life force, essence, Being.  You call upon what is the IS; you call upon your G-d, ultimate essence. You invite, you ask, you call with your whole open heart for the Light of G-d to reside with you, in you, through you, to teach you, to guide you, to protect you, to hold you, to nourish you, to nurture you, to provide for you, to clear the path before you and make your steps strong and firms, to guide your thoughts, your feelings, your voice.  You invite all of this into your body, into your heart, into your life, and you surrender yourself to that Divine flow that all will become true and strong.  You ask G-d into your life fully, completely, embodied in every cell, thought, feeling, moment, and breath.

You hold loving space for yourself.

Stephanie’s gifts are many. She offers her loving, nurturing presence and her accessing consciousness.  She knows how to open herself gracefully to the “Divine Field,” receiving and reflecting what is alive and true, which in turn opens this field for all who have come to receive this flow of blessing.
Receiving a session with Stephanie is a deep practice of remembrance, remembering my true self and feeling deeply at home, connected to the creative life force that is within and all around me, deeply enfolded in the Divine web of human and nonhuman Being.   Stephanie is a conduit and bridge for this experience that is a deeply embodied way of encountering Divinity.  I return to moments in the session almost daily and through this find access to an inner barometer that knows well being and interconnection.

What opens us?

What opens you; this is the most important thing.  What leaves you feeling like a well-nourished tree able to bear fruit.  This is what is most important.  All your blessings arise from the deep nourishment of your own Being.  How does that look in your life?

Work

One soul nourishment of my own…my textile art.

Work needs to nourish you, needs to be what nourishes your heart, your soul, and brings you into a greater richness of life, of giving and receiving.

Mysteries of Water

“On a tide of tears she rises…”

The mysteries of water are many.  There is so much we do not comprehend  of water, yet it is the source and substance not only of our physical being but the container for the energy of our soul in form.  It is and contains an ultimate mystery.  Being in Wonder at water’s many blessings is perhaps one of the simplest  ways for us to connect with both Gaia-Earth and Supreme Creation at once.

This poem reflects one of water’s miraculous abilities…to carry memory over time through generations and DNA.

For those of you who are not Jewish or do not know Hebrew, some of the words may be a mystery.  At the end of the poem are translations, but I suggest you read it a time or three first and let the mystery soak in.  Then read the translations and soak some more.

Shechinah Rises

On a tide of tears
She rises
Oceanic grandmother Spirit
Womb of my foremothers

Upwelling Ruach
Sculpts pathways
Over DNA-etched skin and bone
Bearing mitochondrial memory
In water-bourne blessing
From she to me

Shechinah memory
Between nameless unknown hers
Re-membered in Ha-shem

Seeded nashema-encoded genes
Bear fruit in the flesh of my body
Our Spirits’ longing
Pours from my eyes
As you-we pray
A long-drowned dream

Beseeching
Teshuvah…return
To your-mine-our ancient G-d-ess

Shechinah
Kee l’olam hee lee
Forever She is me.

Stephanie K. Nead, 2009

The Shechinah is the feminine divine essence. G-d-ess in all the power, majesty, equal strength and needed balance of the feminine, every bit as strong, full, complete and necessary as the masculine aspect or essence of G-d.

Ruach can be described as the overarching aspect of soul/spirit. Our personal soul is our nashema. Ruach is “bigger,” less known in any conscious sense to our human understanding. The Holy Spirit is the Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew. Literally translating as Spirit the Holy.

Note: tears carry an inordinate amount of mitochondrial DNA. No one knows why…but it is fascinating.  Mitochondrial DNA is the DNA that comes solely from our mothers and is the fundamental DNA of life.  It ultimately takes us all back to our genetic “Eve.”

Hashem means “The Name” in Hebrew. Ha (the) Shem (name). This is one of the most “familiar” names of G-d…like talking to your best friend. It is, to me, a name encompassing a very close, personal love between myself and a beloved who is beyond name. We say Hashem, because G-d’s name is far too sacred to ever be spoken aloud.  So we name the many aspects of G-d, all considered to be names for G-d, without trying to encompass all G-d is within one small word.

Nashema means soul. It is the personal soul of each individual.  And it is the part of our soul that may, in part, be passed down from generation to generation, the part that might carry and remember, to resolve or repeat, the experiences of our forebears.

Teshuvah means return. It has been mistranslated as repentance. In fact, it means to turn back to G-d, as in to turn one’s face back toward and to move once again toward, rather than away from, G-d. Teshuvah is always done with humility and the recognition of the need for grace and work on oneself, the recognition and acknowledgement that one made a mistake, is sorry for it and ready to learn to do/be differently.

Kee l’olam hee lee is translated here as “Forever she is me.”
